The Nature Cure Trust supports further education of students through the Institute of Nature Cure. The graduates of the Institute of Nature Cure and the Academy of Natural Living run by Dr. John Fielder, osteopath and naturopath, are both registered with the Incorporated Society of Registered Naturopaths (ISRN). The ISRN is the longest standing naturopathic register in the UK.

The Nature Cure Trust trustees are committed to supporting and furthering the education and knowledge about the philosophy and practice of Nature Cure, both within the UK and around the world. Nature Cure is a philosophy of wholeness and looks at maintaining health through natural living, without the use of medication, herbs or supplements. Nature cure would see symptoms as an expression of an imbalance within the system and the body's attempt to remove or compensate for the causes of illness. It seeks to find and address the cause so that the body's natural equilibrium can be restored. For further information on educational events allied with the Nature Cure Trust see our Events page.
Nature Cure Trust trustees belong to the Incorporated Society of Registered Naturopaths.
You can find details on each of our practitioners on the ISRN Web Site
The Nature Cure Trust, originally named as the J.C. Thomson and C. Leslie Thomson Memorial Trust, started in 1965 by the early graduates of the Kingston Clinic of Natural Therapeutics to help support and further the education and training in Nature Cure. Nature Cure differs from naturopathy in that there is no prescribing of supplements or herbs but the simple adherence to natural living and the support of our body during times of healing crisis through natural methods such as fasting, hydrotherapy, heliotherapy, massage, natural nutrition and rest.
The Nature Cure Trust charity supports the work of the ISRN and the Institute of Nature Cure furthering nature cure education. If you would like to receive support or funding for nature cure related training please contact us
Nature Cure is not, and makes no pretence to be, a substitute for medication. It cannot be produced in doses for specific ailments, and although this may sound strange, it is not primarily a resort for people when they are ill. It is much bigger than that.
High Level Health is not to be achieved by the efforts of any group of practitioners. There must be intelligent and whole-hearted co-operation by the individual concerned and after it has been achieved, it must be just as intelligently sustained by wholesome habits of mind and body.
For this reason, we deliberately avoid any form of treatment that may give dramatic but transient results, and concentrate on those which either can be easily continued at home or will relieve strains for a considerable time after their application
